Collecting data from Amazon Selling Partner

Limitations

Collecting data from Amazon Selling Partner comes with the following limitations:

  • Amazon Selling Partner can collect a maximum of 1 million rows per single report. To fetch more data than this, split your fetch into smaller date ranges in the Initial Fetch step of creating a datastream.

  • Not every report type is available for each marketplace.

  • The Amazon Selling Partner API reports in UTC timezone only.

  • Some reports are not ready in real time. This means when you try to collect data on a report that is not ready, an error could occur.

Creating a datastream to collect data from Amazon Selling Partner

Authorization: Allow Adverity to access Amazon Selling Partner

To set up a new authorization to fetch data from Amazon Selling Partner, follow these steps:

  1. In the Authorization step of the datastream wizard, click Access Amazon Selling Partner using your credentials.

  2. Click Next.

  1. In Region, select the region from which to collect data. Your Amazon Selling Partner account credentials must match the region with which the account is associated.

  1. Click Authorize.

  1. You are directed to the Amazon Selling Partner login page. Before you log in, check the URL of the website to which you have been directed. Make sure the top-level domain of the URL matches the region you selected in Region.

    For example, if you selected Europe, make sure the Amazon Selling Partner URL contains -europe.amazon.com.

    If the selected region and the Amazon Selling Partner URL do not match, log out of your Amazon Selling Partner account and log back in using the correct URL.

As a result, Adverity is authorized to access Amazon Selling Partner. To continue creating your datastream, return to the Authorization step in the datastream wizard and select the newly created authorization from the list.

Configuration: Choose the data you want to collect from Amazon Selling Partner

To choose what data to collect and customize the Amazon Selling Partner datastream configuration, follow these steps:

  1. (Optional) Rename your datastream.

  1. In Report category, select the report category for which to collect data.

  1. In Report type, select the type of data to collect from Amazon Selling Partner.

    Some Amazon Selling Partner report types collect personally identifiable information (PII). To comply with data protection regulations, data extracts fetched using these report types are automatically deleted after 30 days.

  1. In Date granularity, select either daily, weekly or monthly granularity.

  2. In ASIN granularity, select the ASIN level on which to collect data.

  1. In Marketplaces, select the marketplaces for which to collect data.
