Collecting data from Baidu

Creating a datastream to collect data from Baidu

Authorization: Allow Adverity to access Baidu

Before creating an authorization to give Adverity access to Baidu, perform the following actions:

  1. In the Baidu user interface, find and copy your API key. This is the token you will use to authorize Adverity.

To set up a new authorization to fetch data from Baidu, follow these steps:

  1. In the Authorization step of the datastream wizard, click Access Baidu using your credentials.

  2. Click Next.

  1. Choose how you want to access Baidu:

    • To provide your username, password and token, click Baidu Search Ads.

    • To log in to Baidu directly, click Baidu Search Ads (OAuth2).

  2. If you chose Baidu Search Ads in the previous step, fill in the following fields:

    • In  Username, enter your Baidu username.

    • In Password, enter your Baidu password.

    • In Token, paste your Baidu API key.

  1. Click Authorize.

Configuration: Choose the data you want to collect from Baidu

To choose what data to collect and customize the Baidu datastream configuration, follow these steps:

  1. (Optional) Rename your datastream.

  1. In Report, select the general type of data to collect from Baidu. The fields you need to configure in the following steps differ according to the report you select.

  1. In Report type, select the more specific type of data to collect from Baidu.

  1. In Accounts, select the accounts for which to collect data. If you do not select any items in a drop-down list, Adverity collects data for all items in the drop-down list.

  1. In Metrics and Attributes, change the list of fields that you want to see in your data extract.

    The Attributes field is only visible if you selected Traffic in the Report field.

  1. In Granularity, select the level at which you want to collect data.

  2. In Device, select the device type for which you want to collect data.

  3. In Platform, select the platform for which you want to collect data.

  4. In Breakdown, select how you want the collected data to be broken down.

  5. In Timezone offset, select the timezone in which the data will be reported.

    The default Baidu API timezone is China Standard Time (UTC+8). Selecting a different timezone may cause data discrepancies.

  6. (Optional) Select the Translate checkbox to translate some fields into English.
