Collecting data from Chartbeat

Creating a datastream to collect data from Chartbeat

Authorization: Allow Adverity to access Chartbeat

Before creating an authorization to give Adverity access to Chartbeat, perform the following actions:

  1. Ask your Chartbeat Account Manager for your API key.

To set up a new authorization to fetch data from Chartbeat, follow these steps:

  1. In the Authorization step of the datastream wizard, click Access Chartbeat using your credentials.

  2. Click Next.

  1. In Token, enter the API key that your Chartbeat Account Manager gave you.

  1. Click Authorize.

Configuration: Choose the data you want to collect from Chartbeat

To choose what data to collect and customize the Chartbeat datastream configuration, follow these steps:

  1. (Optional) Rename your datastream.

  1. In Report type, select the type of data to collect from Chartbeat.

  1. In Hosts, select the hosts for which to collect data. If you do not select any items in a drop-down list, Adverity collects data for all items in the drop-down list.

  1. In Dimensions and Metrics, change the list of fields that you want to see in your data extract.

  1. In Timezone, select the timezone in which the data will be reported.
