Collecting data from Google Ads Keyword Planner

This guide explains how to collect data from Google Ads Keyword Planner. To learn how to collect data from a different data source, go back to the Available data sources in Adverity overview.

Introduction

For a list of the fields that you can collect from Google Ads Keyword Planner, see Google Ads Keyword Planner.

Limitations

Collecting data from Google Ads Keyword Planner comes with the following limitations:

  • You cannot fetch data for the current month using the Google Ads Keyword Planner API. This may also result in an error in the first three days of a month when trying to fetch data for the previous month.

  • Google Ads Keyword Planner can collect a maximum of 1 million rows per single report. To fetch more data than this, split your fetch into smaller date ranges in the Initial Fetch step of creating a datastream.

Prerequisites

Before you start collecting data from Google Ads Keyword Planner, perform all of the following actions:

  • Ensure you have access to a Google Ads account.

  • Find the site URLs and keywords on which you want to collect data.

  • Alternatively, create a value table that contains the site URLs or keywords. For more information on how to create a value table, see Creating value tables.
