Collecting data from impact.com

Prerequisites

Before you start collecting data from impact.com, perform all of the following actions:

Creating a datastream to collect data from impact.com

The basics of creating a datastream to collect data from any data source are explained in our guide to Creating a datastream. This guide contains information about the specific steps to create a datastream to fetch data from impact.com.

Configuration: Choose the data you want to collect from impact.com

To choose what data to collect and customize the impact.com datastream configuration, follow these steps:

  1. (Optional) Rename your datastream.

  1. In Report type, select the type of data to collect from impact.com.

  1. In Report, select the report for which to collect data. If you selected Custom in Report Type, enter the URL of the custom report for which to collect data. For more information, see Advanced impact.com tips.

  1. In Campaigns, select the campaigns for which to collect data. If you do not select any items in a drop-down list, Adverity collects data for all items in the drop-down list.

Configuring the Report field

The Report field is a mandatory field when setting up a datastream to impact.com and you must select a report on which to collect data. You must create reports in the impact.com user interface before you can select them in Adverity.

Finding a custom report URL

When setting up a datastream to impact.com, if you have selected Custom as the Report Type, you must provide a URL to the custom report.

To get the URL for the custom report from the impact.com user interface, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your impact.com account.

  2. Go to the Reports page.

  3. Click the custom report for which you want to get the URL.

  4. In the top right corner of the page, click the Get this report via API icon .

  5. Copy the custom report URL.

The START_DATE, END_DATE and SUBAID parameters of the custom report URL are automatically replaced with the correct information when you run a data fetch.

As a result, you can complete the datastream setup and collect custom report data from impact.com.
