Collecting data from LinkedIn Organizations & Brands

This guide explains how to collect data from LinkedIn Organizations & Brands. To learn how to collect data from a different data source, go back to the Available data sources in Adverity overview.

Introduction

For a list of the fields that you can collect from LinkedIn Organizations & Brands, see LinkedIn Organizations & Brands.

Limitations

Collecting data from LinkedIn Organizations & Brands comes with the following limitations:

  • There are certain limitations for the Time interval filter. Selecting any value other than Lifetime will return only the current day's worth of data. This results in the following limitations:

    • It is not possible to collect historical data for the last week, month or quarter.

    • You can only collect data for the current day (the day on which you fetch the data).

    • When presenting the data, you must include the current day in the time range filters.

  • The Country value in the Breakdown filter returns the top 100 countries, with one row per country. This may result in data for smaller countries, outside of the top 100, not being collected. Using other breakdown values may cause a discrepancy in the totals values in the data. For example, the value for the total followers using the country breakdown will be different to the value for the total followers without the country breakdown, if you are collecting data for more than 100 countries.

  • There is a discrepancy when collecting data for organic_followers and paid_followers and using additional breakdown values (such as country or industry). If you select a breakdown, the data is collected for both organic_followers and paid_followers. If you do not select a breakdown, both columns for organic_followers and paid_followers are empty and only the total of both values is returned.
