Creating a datastream to collect data from Reddit Public

Configuration: Choose the data you want to collect from Reddit Public

To choose what data to collect and customize the Reddit Public datastream configuration, follow these steps:

  1. (Optional) Rename your datastream.

  1. In Report type, select the type of data to collect from Reddit Public. The selected report type determines the additional fields to populate.

  1. In Subreddits, select the subreddits for which to collect data.

  2. For the Posts and Comments report type, in Filter, select a filter type for posts and comments.

  3. For the Keyword Search report type, in Keywords, enter the keywords for your search.

  4. In Number of Posts, set how many posts should be fetched per subreddit. Enter a number between 1 and 500.

  5. (Optional) Select the Include Comments checkbox to collect data on the top-level comments.

    If this checkbox is selected, in Number of Comments, set how many comments should be fetched per post. Enter a number between 1 and 500.

  6. For the Posts and Comments report type, in Timeframe, select a time range for which to collect data on posts.
