Collecting data from Salesforce Marketing Cloud

This guide explains how to collect data from Salesforce Marketing Cloud. To learn how to collect data from a different data source, go back to the Available data sources in Adverity overview.

Introduction

For a list of the fields that you can collect from Salesforce Marketing Cloud, see Salesforce Marketing Cloud.

Limitations

Collecting data from Salesforce Marketing Cloud comes with the following limitations:

  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud can collect a maximum of 1 million rows per single report. To fetch more data than this, split your fetch into smaller date ranges in the Initial Fetch step of creating a datastream.

  • When setting up an authorization to Salesforce Marketing Cloud, different levels of permissions determine the report types from which you can collect data. These permissions are assigned to the Installed Packages and are linked to your Salesforce Marketing Cloud credentials. For more information, see Getting your Salesforce Marketing Cloud Client ID and Client Secret.

  • Different report types require different levels of authority.
