Creating a datastream to collect data from Weatherstack

Configuration: Choose the data you want to collect from Weatherstack

To choose what data to collect and customize the Weatherstack datastream configuration, follow these steps:

  1. (Optional) Rename your datastream.

  1. In Query locations, choose how you want to specify the locations on which to collect data:

    Type in

    Select this option to manually enter the locations where you want to query weather data.

    If you select this option, in the Type in field, type in the locations on which you want to collect data. Enter each location on a new line.

    You can select either latitude and longitude (for example, 48.8567,2.3508), city name (for example, Paris), US zip, UK postcode, Canada postal code, or IP address.

    Value table

    Select this option to provide a value table containing the locations where you want to query weather data.

    If you select this option, in Locations value table, select the value table containing the locations on which you want to collect data.

  1. In Report type, select the type of data to collect from Weatherstack.

  1. In Unit, select the unit in which you want to retrieve your weather data.

  1. In Granularity, select either daily or hourly granularity of data.

  1. In Fields, change the list of fields that you want to see in your data extract.
