Collecting data from Zendesk

Creating a datastream to collect data from Zendesk

The basics of creating a datastream to collect data from any data source are explained in our guide to Creating a datastream. This guide contains information about the specific steps to create a datastream to fetch data from Zendesk.

To set up a new authorization to fetch data from Zendesk, follow these steps:

  1. In the Authorization step of the datastream wizard, click Access Zendesk using your credentials.

  2. Click Next.

  1. In Domain, enter your Zendesk domain. For example, if your full Zendesk URL is yourcompany.zendesk.com, enter yourcompany.

  1. Click Authorize.

Configuration: Choose the data you want to collect from Zendesk

To choose what data to collect and customize the Zendesk datastream configuration, follow these steps:

  1. (Optional) Rename your datastream.

  1. In Report type, select the type of data to collect from Zendesk. The fields you need to configure in the following steps differ according to the report type you select.

  1. For the Tickets report type, fill in the following fields:

    1. In Ticket status, select the status of the tickets for which to collect data.

    2. In Date filter, select the date information to collect.

  2. For the Users report type, in User role, select the user roles for which to collect data.

  3. For the Ticket Audits report type, in Audit scope, select the data to collect.
