Creating calculated metrics

Introduction
Calculated metrics are metrics created based on a combination of other metrics, such as a sum or a ratio. Calculated metrics can be used in Data Explorer and Dashboards to analyze and visualize your data. Adverity displays calculated metrics in green with the sign.
Calculated metrics can be loaded into Adverity Data Storage but not external destinations.

Creating a calculated metrics
withTo create a calculated metrics, follow these steps:

Select the workspace you work with in Adverity and then, in the , click Data Explorer.

Next to the View tabs at the top of the page, click Create new view.

From the Dimensions & Metrics list on the left, select a dimension.

From the Dimensions & Metrics list on the left, select a metric.
Metrics with the sign are calculated metrics. The values in the calculated metrics are not retrieved from the data source. Adverity calculates the calculated metric values using the configured formula.
Creating calculated metrics from Data Explorer
Create custom calculated metrics to perform calculations on existing metrics and add the results of the calculations to a .
To create a calculated metric from Data Explorer, follow these steps:

Select the workspace you work with in Adverity and then, in the , click Data Explorer.

At the top of the page, select the View tab that contains the .

In the Metrics section of the view, click Create calculated metric.

In the pop-up window, create a new calculated metric. For more information, see Creating a calculated metric.

Click Create.
As a result, Adverity automatically adds the new calculated metric to the Metrics section of the view.
