Previewing enrichments

This reference article explains how to preview your enrichment instructions on collected data.

Introduction

When configuring an enrichment, you can preview the result of the instructions using the Table preview tab. The preview displays the changes made to your data extract by the enrichment.

Prerequisites

Before you read this reference, perform all of the following actions:

• Ensure the datastream to which the enrichment is applied has at least one successfully fetched data extract.

• The data extract contains the relevant values to be previewed during the enrichment configuration.

Previewing the enrichment output

To preview the output of enrichment instructions, follow these steps:

1. Select the workspace you work with in Adverity and then, in the platform navigation menu, click Enrichments.

2. Click the enrichment you want to preview. You will automatically be taken to the Instructions page of the enrichment overview.

3. Open the Table preview tab from the enrichment configuration. The columns affected by the enrichment are displayed in blue.

4. (Optional) In Display columns, select Used in enrichment to display only the columns affected by the enrichment instructions.

Adverity may not display the preview for one of the following reasons:

• There is an error in the enrichment instructions.

• There are no successful data extracts for the datastream for which the enrichment is being created.

• There are no appropriate values in the data extract. For example, if there are no numerical values in the data extract, then a currency conversion enrichment has nothing to convert.
