Adding widgets to a dashboard

This guide explains how to add widgets to a dashboard from the Dashboards page and rename widgets.

Introduction

A widget is an individual element on a dashboard. Use Data Explorer to create table and chart (visualization) widgets based on your data. You can also add image, video, and text widgets to your dashboard.

In Data Explorer, you create and edit widgets in a view. Only views that are added to a dashboard as a widget are saved.

Adding widgets to a dashboard

When you create a dashboard or a dashboard page, it is empty until you populate it with widgets.

To add a widget to a dashboard, follow these steps:

  1. Select the workspace you work with in Adverity and then, in the platform navigation menu, click Dashboards.

  2. Click the dashboard to open it.

  3. Using the Page arrows in the top right corner, go to the dashboard page to which you want to add a widget.

If the dashboard is empty, it has only one page.

  4. In the top right corner, choose how to add a widget:

    • Click Create visualization to create a widget in Data Explorer and add it to this dashboard page.
