Introduction to the Enrichments page

The Enrichments page is where you can create and edit enrichments.

An enrichment is a set of instructions that defines how to transform your data. Enrichments must be assigned to a datastream in order to enrich your data.

There are two kinds of enrichments:

  • Adverity's standard enrichments, which are a user-friendly way to create commonly used enrichments.

  • Custom script enrichments, which allow you to transform your data using a range of instructions.

After you have created at least one enrichment, the Enrichments page provides an overview of your enrichments.

  1. Use these filters to view your enrichments according to different properties. See below for more information about these filters.

  2. Click here to import an enrichment as a JSON file.

  3. Click here to create a new enrichment.

  4. Click here to search for an enrichment by Name.

  5. Click here for more options. The options available here depend on your role and permissions. For more information, see Managing user permissions.

The table in the middle of the Enrichments page contains important information about your enrichments in the following columns:

  • Type - the icons in this column show the type of enrichment

  • Name - the name of this enrichment

  • Workspace - the workspace in which this enrichment was created

  • Assignments - the number of datastreams to which this enrichment is assigned

The filters above the table allow you to view specific enrichments in the table. You can apply more than one filter at the same time to view specific enrichments:

  • Workspace - displays all enrichments that were created in the selected workspace

  • Type - displays all enrichments of the selected type

  • Assigned - Yes displays all enrichments that are assigned to at least one datastream, and No displays all enrichments that are not assigned to a datastream

You can also use the search bar to search for enrichments by the Name column in the table. You can use the search function with or without filters applied.

Click Select an action in a specific enrichment's row in the table to perform additional actions with this enrichment. The actions you can perform are:

  • Delete enrichment - displays a list of objects that will be affected if you delete this enrichment, and allows you to delete this enrichment

  • Export enrichment - exports the selected enrichment as a JSON file
