Configuring dashboard page-level dimension quickfilters

This guide explains how to configure dashboard page-level dimension quickfilters.

Introduction

Filter data in widgets and dashboards to display only the information that you find relevant.

Use dashboard page-level dimension quickfilters to filter data based on dimensions for specific widgets on a dashboard page. For more information about the different ways to filter data in Data Explorer & Dashboards, see Filtering data on a dashboard.

Prerequisites

Before you complete the procedure in this guide, perform all of the following actions:

Procedure

To add a dimension quickfilter to a dashboard page, follow these steps:

  1. Select the workspace you work with in Adverity and then, in the platform navigation menu, click Dashboards.

  2. In the top right corner of the page, click Permanent Filters and Quickfilters.

  3. Click Dimension quickfilter on page.

  4. Fill in the following fields:

    Select widgets

    Select the widgets to which you want to apply the quickfilter.

    Compact view

    Select this checkbox to list values in the quickfilter in a multi-select drop-down menu. Deselect this option to display the values as a series of checkboxes.

    Interactive mode

    Select this checkbox to change the filter conditions in the quickfilter based on the values you select. For example, if you select some values in the Campaign Name filter condition, you can then only select values in the other filter conditions which exist for the selected campaign names. This option is only effective if you specify two or more filter conditions.

    Use date-range

    Select this checkbox to display data only for the indicated date range.

    Choose dimension

    Select a dimension for which to filter.

    Filter by

    Select the dimension values you want to filter for to display data in the selected widgets. Click a value to cycle through the available logical operators.

  5. Click + Add filter to add more filter criteria.

  6. To change the order of the filter criteria, click Rearrange filters.

  7. To delete a filter criterion, click Remove.

  8. Click Apply.

  9. In the dimension quickfilter, select the values for which to display data, and then click Apply.

  10. To change a filter condition to the opposite of the current selection, click Inverse selection above the filter condition.

  11. To remove the current selection from a filter condition, click Clear applied quickfilter above the filter condition.
