Automation templates¶
The template library is a set of pre-built automations for the checks marketing teams run most often. Each is ready to use, pick one, set its parameters, schedule it. They exist so you do not start every automation from a blank prompt.
Packs go one step further: a pack bundles related templates and configures them together from one set of shared answers, so you can stand up a whole watch in a single pass instead of creating each automation by hand.
Prerequisites¶
Editor role, and a bound data source for the template to query.
Finding the library¶
From Automations, open Agent Library. The page is described as “Browse predefined automation agents for marketing intelligence” and has two tabs:
Templates: Individual pre-built automations, filtered by category
Packs: Curated bundles that create several automations at once
On the Templates tab, category pills across the top filter the grid: All, Attribution, Budget, Creative, Governance, and Pacing. Each card shows the template name, its category, a description, how many parameters it takes, and its default schedule.
Using a template¶
Pick a template: Read what it checks
Set its parameters: The metric, threshold, brand, or window it should use
Schedule and enable: Review the cron schedule and save
In detail:
Open Automations > Agent Library and stay on the Templates tab.
Filter by category if you know what you are looking for, then click Use Template on the card you want. A panel opens with the template’s parameters pre-filled with its defaults.
Fill in the parameters. These differ per template, they are the metric, threshold, lookback window, or dimension the check should use.
Review the schedule. Each template carries a default schedule (shown in the table below), which you can change to any cron expression.
Save. The automation appears in your automations list and runs on its schedule. See Creating automations for the full form and Tracking runs for what happens after.
A template is a starting point, not a straitjacket: once created, an automation from a template can be edited in place like any other, through its parameters rather than its prompt.

Tip
Several governance templates are designed to be used more than once. Rule Theme Compliance Auditor, Search Compliance Auditor, and Display Inventory & Viewability Auditor each cover one theme or aspect per automation, so create one per theme you want watched. The Atlas Standard Governance pack below does exactly that for you.
Packs¶
A pack instantiates several templates in one pass. You answer a short set of shared parameters once, and the wizard fans them out into every automation in the bundle. Four packs ship with Adverity Atlas.

Using a pack¶
Open Automations > Agent Library and switch to the Packs tab. Each card shows the pack name, its category, how many automations it creates, and how many shared parameters it takes.
Click Use Pack. The wizard opens at step 1. Shared parameters.
Enter a Pack instance name. This is used to label the resulting bundle of automations. It defaults to the pack’s own name.
Fill in the shared parameters, which are applied to every automation in the pack.
Under Templates in this pack, untick any automation you do not want to instantiate. All are ticked by default unless the pack says otherwise.
Click Next: Per-template review to move to step 2. Per-template review. Here each template shows its own Schedule (cron) and, where it has settings the shared parameters did not cover, an Override parameters section. Templates fully configured by the shared values say so instead.
Click the create button to finish. It is labelled with the number of automations you are about to create, for example Create 6 automations. They are created as a group you can open from the pack instance, where View child automations lists them and each shows as Active or Paused.
Note
A pack is a shortcut for creating automations, not a container that keeps controlling them. Once created, each automation in the pack is edited, paused, and deleted like any other.
When no template fits¶
Reach for a custom automation and describe the check in plain language. Templates cover the common cases; custom covers everything else.
