Asking someone to set up an authorization to a destination

This guide explains how to ask someone to set up the authorization to a destination.

Introduction

Load data into an external destination for storage and further processing. To do so, establish an authorization to the destination in one of the following ways:

• Set up the new authorization with your own credentials.

• Ask someone else to set up the new authorization. This procedure is explained in this article.

Procedure

To add a destination to a workspace by asking someone to set up the authorization to the destination, follow these steps:

1. Go to the Destinations page.

2. Click + Add Destination.

3. Select the chosen destination.

4. Click Send an access request and click Next.

5. In the Email field, write the email address of the person who authorizes the new authorization.

6. (Optional) Customize the message and set notification preferences.

7. Click Send Access Request.
