Getting an overview of users in Explore & Present#
This guide explains how to get an overview of users in Explore & Present.
Introduction#
The Overview page displays a list of users and the workspaces and workspace groups to which they belong. The Overview page only displays users who do not have the role of Administrator.
Apply filters to the Overview page to view only certain users.
Click on the name of a user to display a pop-up bubble containing additional user information such as when they last logged in and the elements to which they have access.

To access the Overview page, follow these steps:
Filtering the Overview page#
To apply filters to the Overview page, follow these steps:
Open the Overview page.
Apply the following, optional filters:
- Filter users
Select users to display only the workspaces and workspace groups to which the selected users are assigned.
- Filter permissions
Select roles to display only the users assigned to the selected roles. The Overview page then displays only the applicable users along with the workspaces and workspace groups to which the users belong. For more information on user roles, see Assigning a role to a user.
- Inherited view
Select this checkbox to display a list of all non-administrator users assigned to a workspace or workspace group. When a user is assigned to a workspace or workspace group, they are assigned to every workspace or group beneath it. By default, only the top-level workspaces and workspace groups display a list of assigned users as it is implied that all the workspaces and groups beneath them have the same set of users.
- Show enabled users only
Select this checkbox to show only users who are currently enabled (or active). For more information on enabling and disabling users, see Adding and deleting Explore & Present users.
- Show users with shared dashboards
Select this checkbox to display a list of users who have shared dashboards within the workspaces. A new column, Users with shared dashboard is added to the table of users.
- Show all workspaces
By default, not all workspaces are displayed. To display all workspaces and workspace groups, select the Show all workspaces checkbox.
Viewing additional user details#
To view the additional details for a user, follow these steps:
Open the Overview page.
Click on the name of the user to display their additional details. An example of the additional details pop-up window is shown below.
(Optional) To open the User details page for the selected user, click
Open next to the name of the user.
(Optional) To open the Role details page for the role to which the user is assigned, click
Open next to the role items to which the user is assigned.
The additional details pop-up window also displays the following:
The date on which the user was created.
The date on which the user last logged in to Adverity.
If the user is enabled or disabled.
