Setting up an authorization to TikTok Business#

This guide explains how to authorize Adverity to collect data from TikTok Business.

Prerequisites#

Before you read this reference, perform all of the following actions:

  • Ensure you have a standard TikTok account and a TikTok for Business account.

  • Ensure your standard TikTok account is linked to your TikTok for Business account. The authorization process requires you to log in with your standard TikTok account credentials, not your TikTok Business credentials.

  • Ensure the standard TikTok account owner is at least 18 years old.

  • Ensure you can log in to your standard TikTok account.

Setting up an authorization to TikTok Business#

To set up an authorization to TikTok Business, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Authorizations page.

  2. In the top right corner of the page, click + Create Authorization.

  3. Search for and click TikTok Business.

  4. Click Next.

  5. Click Setup a new Authorization.

  6. Click Next.

As a result, you are redirected to the TikTok authorization page.

Completing the authorization in TikTok#

To complete the authorization process in TikTok, follow these steps:

  1. On the TikTok login page, enter the credentials for your standard TikTok account.

  2. Follow the on-screen instructions to grant Adverity access.

  3. Click Authorize to confirm the connection.

As a result, TikTok Business is authorized in Adverity and you can continue setting up a datastream.
