Embedding dashboards and widgets in Microsoft PowerPoint#

This guide explains how to embed dashboards and widgets in Microsoft PowerPoint presentations.

Prerequisites#

Before you complete the procedure in this guide, perform all of the following actions:

  • To embed a dashboard, create a dashboard and publish it.

  • To embed a widget, create a widget and add it to a dashboard. The widget can be added to a draft or published dashboard.

  • Install the Web Viewer add-on from the Microsoft Office Store.

Embedding a dashboard#

To embed a dashboard in a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Present page.

  2. Click the published dashboard that you want to embed into your Microsoft PowerPoint presentation.

  3. In the top left corner, click image1 Dashboard sharing.

  4. In the Public link section, enable the toggle.

  5. Click Copy to copy the link to the dashboard.

  6. Open the Microsoft PowerPoint presentation.

  7. Go to the slide where you want to embed the dashboard.

  8. In the Home tab, click Add-ins, then Web Viewer.

  9. In the URL field, paste the link of the dashboard.

As a result, the dashboard is embedded into your Microsoft PowerPoint presentation.

Embedding a widget#

To embed a widget in a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Present page.

  2. Click the dashboard which contains the widget.

  3. Hold the pointer over the widget, and then click image2 Widget actions.

  4. Click image3 Share.

  5. Copy the URL.

  6. Open the Microsoft PowerPoint presentation.

  7. Go to the slide where you want to embed the widget.

  8. In the Home tab, click Add-ins, then Web Viewer.

  9. In the URL field, paste the URL for the widget.

As a result, the widget is embedded into your Microsoft PowerPoint presentation.
