Collecting data from Bing Webmaster#

This guide explains how to collect data from Bing Webmaster. To learn how to collect data from a different data source, go back to the Available data sources in Adverity overview.

Prerequisites#

Before you start collecting data from Bing Webmaster, perform all of the following actions:

  • Ensure that the account you want to use to authorize Adverity to access Bing Webmaster has Uniform access permissions.

Creating a datastream to collect data from Bing Webmaster#

Authorization: Allow Adverity to access Bing Webmaster#

Before creating an authorization to give Adverity access to Bing Webmaster, perform the following actions:

  1. Generate an API key in the Bing Webmaster user interface. For more information, see the Bing Webmaster documentation.

To set up a new authorization to fetch data from Bing Webmaster, follow these steps:

  1. In the Authorization step of the datastream wizard, click Access Bing Webmaster using your credentials.

  2. Click Next.

  3. In Secret, enter the API key you generated in the Bing Webmaster user interface.

  4. Click Authorize.

Configuration: Choose the data you want to collect from Bing Webmaster#

To choose what data to collect and customize the Bing Webmaster datastream configuration, follow these steps:

  1. (Optional) Rename your datastream.

  2. In Report type, select the type of data to collect from Bing Webmaster.

  3. In Sites, select the sites for which to collect data. If you do not select any items in a drop-down list, Adverity collects data for all items in the drop-down list.
