Microsoft SQL Server: Setup guide#
This guide explains how to collect data from Microsoft SQL Server.
Prerequisites#
Before you start collecting data from Microsoft SQL Server, perform all of the following actions:
- Ensure that the IP of your Adverity instance is whitelisted by the database to which you want to connect. 
Creating a datastream to collect data from Microsoft SQL Server#

Configuration: Choose the data you want to collect from Microsoft SQL Server#
To choose what data to collect and customize the Microsoft SQL Server datastream configuration, follow these steps:
- (Optional) Rename your datastream. 
- In Table, select the table from which you want to collect data. 
- In Query, enter an SQL query defining the data that you want to fetch.
