Collecting data from OneView#

This guide explains how to collect data from OneView. To learn how to collect data from a different data source, go back to the Available data sources in Adverity overview.

Prerequisites#

Before you start collecting data from OneView, perform all of the following actions:

  • Create an S3 bucket where OneView will temporarily store the data extract and create a presigned URL to grant Adverity access to this S3 bucket.

    The presigned URL must meet the following requirements:

    • The presigned URL must be created by a user with permission to perform the action the presigned URL is based on.

    • The presigned URL must be created by an IAM user with an access key and secret key configured in the OneView connector.

    To create a presigned URL that is valid for 7 days, perform the following steps:

    1. Designate IAM credentials to the SDK that you are using.

    2. Generate a presigned URL using AWS Signature Version 4.
