Collecting data from OneView#
This guide explains how to collect data from OneView. To learn how to collect data from a different data source, go back to the Available data sources in Adverity overview.
Prerequisites#
Before you start collecting data from OneView, perform all of the following actions:
Create an S3 bucket where OneView will temporarily store the data extract and create a presigned URL to grant Adverity access to this S3 bucket.
The presigned URL must meet the following requirements:
The presigned URL must be created by a user with permission to perform the action the presigned URL is based on.
The presigned URL must be created by an IAM user with an access key and secret key configured in the OneView connector.
To create a presigned URL that is valid for 7 days, perform the following steps:
Designate IAM credentials to the SDK that you are using.
Generate a presigned URL using AWS Signature Version 4.
