Sprinklr: Setup guide#

This guide explains how to collect data from Sprinklr.

Creating a datastream to collect data from Sprinklr#

The basics of creating a datastream to collect data from any data source are explained in our guide to Collecting data in Adverity. This guide contains information about the specific steps to create a datastream to fetch data from Sprinklr.

Authorization: Allow Adverity to access Sprinklr#

If you want to authorize Adverity to access Sprinklr using your own developer app instead of Adverity’s managed keys, before creating the authorization, perform the following actions:

  1. In Sprinklr, navigate to All Settings, then APIs and Integrations, then Developer Apps, and create an app to generate an API Key and Secret. For detailed instructions, see the Sprinklr documentation.

    Important

    In your Sprinklr developer app, you must set the Callback URL to https://oap.datatap.io/oauth2/callback/. Adverity cannot complete the authorization if this value is set incorrectly.

    Note

    Sprinklr shows the Secret only once when you generate it. Store it securely, as you cannot retrieve it again from Sprinklr.

To set up a new authorization to fetch data from Sprinklr, follow these steps:

  1. In the Authorization step of the datastream wizard, click Access Sprinklr using your credentials.

  2. Click Next.

  3. Select one of the following options:

    • Click Sprinklr to authorize Adverity using Adverity’s managed developer app. If your instance is hosted on a different environment, click the corresponding tile instead, for example Sprinklr PROD2 for Prod2.

    • Click Sprinklr (User API Key) to authorize Adverity using your own developer app:

      1. In Sprinklr Environment, select the Sprinklr environment your instance is hosted on. The default is Production.

      2. In API Key, enter the API Key from your Sprinklr developer app.

      3. In Secret, enter the Secret from your Sprinklr developer app.

  4. In Sprinklr Domain, enter your Sprinklr domain, for example adverity.sprinklr.com. The default value is app.

  5. Click Authorize.

Configuration: Choose the data you want to collect from Sprinklr#

To choose what data to collect and customize the Sprinklr datastream configuration, follow these steps:

  1. (Optional) Rename your datastream.

  2. In Sprinklr, generate an API payload. For more information, see the Sprinklr documentation.

  3. In Adverity, enter the API payload in the Widget Query Payload field.

    Note

    Adverity automatically replaces datetime values with date values from the fetch date range in Sprinklr datastreams.
