Administering Adverity#
Administration covers the platform-wide settings that keep your Adverity instance running smoothly: organizing workspaces, managing users and their permissions, tracking usage, connecting your own warehouse, and getting support when something goes wrong.
What can be configured in Adverity Administration?#
Administration tasks let you:
Organize data collection and access rights across workspaces
Control who can access Adverity and what they can do
Track unique data row usage against your contract
Connect and manage your own external warehouse
Get help troubleshooting issues in your browser
Core concepts#
- What is a workspace?
A workspace is where you collect, transform, and work with your data. Workspaces are created in a tree structure, where child workspaces may inherit settings and permissions from the parent workspace.
- What is a unique data row?
A unique data row is a single row of data that is collected in a datastream after any transformations are applied. A row is considered to be a unique data row if at least one of the fields in the row contains a value that is different from all other collected rows of data.
- What is an external warehouse?
By default, Adverity manages the storage for Data Warehouse. You can also connect your own external warehouse, such as Google BigQuery or Snowflake, to store and query your data there instead.
