Google Merchant Center: Setup guide#

This guide explains how to collect data from Google Merchant Center.

Introduction#

Google Merchant Center provides product data from your Google Merchant Center account via the Merchant API. It supports two report types: Product Feed (product attributes, pricing, and availability) and Product Statuses (approval status across Google surfaces such as Shopping Ads and Free Listings).

Note

Google Merchant Center replaces the legacy Google Content for Shopping connector, which is scheduled for sunset in August 2026. If you are currently using Google Content for Shopping, migrate to this connector before the sunset date.

Limitations#

Collecting data from Google Merchant Center comes with the following limitations:

  • This connector requires a dedicated Google Merchant Center authorization. Existing Google authorizations from other connectors cannot be used.

Prerequisites#

Before you start collecting data from Google Merchant Center, perform all of the following actions:

  • Ensure the Google account you use to authorize has access to the Google Merchant Center account from which you want to collect data.
