Meltwater: Setup guide#

This guide explains how to collect data from Meltwater.

Introduction#

Meltwater is a media intelligence and social listening platform that helps you monitor, analyze, and manage news, social media, and other digital content related to your brand and industry.

Adverity flattens the nested objects returned by the Meltwater API, such as author, content, location, and metrics, into individual columns in your data extract.

Limitations#

Collecting data from Meltwater comes with the following limitations:

  • The Listening report type returns a maximum of 2,000,000 results, regardless of the value you enter in Display limit.

  • Date range limits for the Explore+ Listening report type depend on your organization’s Meltwater package.

Prerequisites#

Before you start collecting data from Meltwater, perform all of the following actions:

  • Have an active Meltwater account with access to the companies and searches you want to collect data from.
