Creating a datastream to collect data from Uber Ads#

The basics of creating a datastream to collect data from any data source are explained in our guide to Collecting data in Adverity. This guide contains information about the specific steps to create a datastream to fetch data from Uber Ads.

Authorization: Allow Adverity to access Uber Ads#

Before creating an authorization to give Adverity access to Uber Ads, perform the following actions:

  1. Register an application in the Uber developer portal to obtain a Client ID and Client Secret.

To set up a new authorization to fetch data from Uber Ads, follow these steps:

  1. In the Authorization step of the datastream wizard, click Access Uber Ads using your credentials.

  2. Click Next.

  3. In Client ID and Client Secret, enter the credentials from your Uber application. Note that the Client ID is the application’s App ID.

  4. Click Authorize and follow the prompts to log in to your Uber account and grant access.

Configuration: Choose the data you want to collect from Uber Ads#

To choose what data to collect and customize the Uber Ads datastream configuration, follow these steps:

  1. (Optional) Rename your datastream.

  2. In Ad Account, select the ad accounts for which to collect data. If you do not select any items in the drop-down list, Adverity collects data for all available ad accounts.

  3. In Report type, select the type of data to collect from Uber Ads:

    • Ad Performance (default) — collects campaign and ad-level performance metrics.

    • Ad Performance by Audience Tenure — collects performance metrics segmented by how long an audience has been exposed to the ads.

  4. In Metrics, select the metrics to include in your data extract. The available metrics depend on the selected report type.

  5. In Dimensions, select the dimensions by which to group the collected data. The available dimensions depend on the selected report type.
